Plateau de Valensole
Lavender fields

The Valensole Plateau covers 800 km², most of which is devoted to the cultivation of lavender and grains. When summer arrives, the landscape is tinged with the many shades of blue from the lavender fields, which contrast with the golden hues of the wheat fields. The Valensole Plateau is one of the most important regions for lavender cultivation. This tradition dates back to ancient times and benefits from the abundant sunshine in this small corner of Provence.
