Valensole Plateau

Lavender fields

The Valensole plateau covers an area of 800 km², mainly devoted to the cultivation of lavender and cereals. When summer arrives, it’s colored by the multiple blues of the lavender fields, contrasting with the gold of the wheat fields. The Valensole plateau is one of the most important lavender-growing areas. A tradition that dates back to antiquity and benefits from the sunshine of this little corner of Provence.
