It was between Quinson and Moustier-Sainte-Marie that the first settlers of the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence. It was therefore only natural that Quinson would be the site of the Gorges du Verdon Museum of Prehistory. Designed by Norman Foster, the architect of the Millau Viaduct, this museum is the largest in Europe dedicated to prehistory, with galleries that use the latest technology to immerse visitors in the history of prehistoric humans.
